Complementing the existing OnView catch up facility, the live streaming broadcast expands the reach of the Tyne and Wear based station to an even wider audience.
Station Manager, Tony Hazell said: “Watching TV on a device other than the traditional telly is very much part of everyday life. We’re very excited to offer our viewers the ability to watch whenever and wherever they choose via our live streaming option. We’ve had a very busy summer attending lots of local events, reporting on lots of local issues and with over 230,000 weekly viewers tuning in and getting ready to celebrate our first anniversary in November, it’s definitely exciting times.”
