22 Dropout are a 4 piece Punk rock band from Durham. Their influences include; Refused, The Hives, Green Day, The Offspring, Billy Talent, Led Zeppelin, Trivium, Sum41 and Aqua. We came together with our current line-up in the summer of 2011. We play an energetic and lively programme with huge variance, from 80’s rock to punk to metal, so I guess you’d probably call us alternative rock. We write and play all our own songs, and usually have a full set of originals with maybe one or two covers thrown in for our audiences who haven’t heard our own songs. Our live show is fast paced and exciting, and we’ve been playing in venues across the north-east from the cluny, riverside and the o2 to the three tuns.

They have a very energetic feel to their music and remind me of blink 182 and Sum41 genre.

Ball of Mayhem are a melodic metal five piece from Ashington Northumberland. We’re best know for our blend of traditional metal with catchy uplift melodic chorus with strong vocal harmony.

Last year we won “song of the year” by Florida based internet radio and TV show “Sunset Island Music” for our single “Obliteration Imminent” beating over 30000 entries from around the world. Official video here. The song has been featured in a variety of press ranging from The Evening Chronicle and Gamesmaster magazine.
Our Second single “A Call to arms” was released late last year, official video here and features us arriving in a falling car!
We are currently recording new material for our long overdue debut album which we hope to release next year, with a new single and video “Clear Skies” coming out this Autumn.

Battle of the bands held by O2 Academy Newcastle, getting through to the final and playing the academy main stage.

We now think we’ve finally found our perfect line up and we are now in full strength to take the music scene by storm!
