Come face to face with prehistory and hand-feed a walking interactive real-size baby stegosaurus ‘Tiny’ at the Great North Museum : Hancock in Newcastle on 14 and 15 August.
A combination of live sound, animatronics and puppetry bring ‘Tiny’ the Stegosaurus to life – she is expressive, interactive and full of character and charm.
‘Tiny’ is created by ‘extreme quad pod puppetry’ and is a giant car sized puppet that has been created to perfectly mimic the now extinct creatures.
Dr Sarah Glynn , Manager of the Great North Museum : Hancock said,
“We are very excited for ‘Tiny’ to come and visit the museum – it is a truly magical experience to meet this amazing creature.
“Visitors young and old will be astounded at the authenticity of Tiny – and hopefully we will inspire some budding palaeontologists! “
The event is free; no booking required and is suitable for all ages – adults, children and young people. Tiny will give three performances at 11am – 11.25am, 1pm – 1.25 pm and 2pm – 2.25pm.
‘Tiny’ comes with her palaeontologist who presents a lively and informative natural history show. Audiences are encouraged to ‘get tactile’ with the dinosaur and to have a go at being palaeontologists themselves.
