Following his success with the West End musical ‘From Here to Eternity’, Stuart Brayson invites you an exclusive World Preview of songs from his new show, ‘KING PIT’.
‘KING PIT’ is a breathtaking original musical set in a North East coal mining community immediately before the outbreak of the First World War, exploring the timeless themes of love, friendship, loyalty, and overcoming adversity against the odds.
At the heart of the story are the people of the North East who rally to the anthem of “Geordies and Proud”.
‘KING PIT’- the musical – will open in 2016, but you can hear songs from ‘KING PIT’ linked by narrator Alan Wright, and a spellbinding multi-media show as part of ‘An Evening with Stuart Brayson and Friends’ at Sage Gateshead 3rd February 2015.
The first half of the evening will feature live performances of songs from ‘From Here to Eternity’ with the entire second half devoted to ‘KING PIT’ with songs performed by dozens of outstanding guest artists including Stuart’s friends who will be performing on the night include local X Factor winner, Joe McElderry, Siobhan Dillon (Ghost, Cabaret), Julie Armstrong (From Here to Eternity), Donna Hazelton (Chicago, Musicality), Simon Gordon (ITV Superstar), Graeme Duffin (Wet Wet Wet) and many more West End stars, backed by a live rock group, The Felling Band and In The Groove community choir.
