Looking for something fun to do for your child this February Half Term? Athletics North East is holding their 3 day Athletics Camp at “Gateshead College Academy for Sport” from the 19th-21st Feb, 10am till 3pm. Athletics North East is here to Inspire the North East through Athletics.

Is your child interested in athletics… aged between 8 – 15 years old?

During our 3 day camp your child will have the chance to be:
- Coached by top coaches within the north East
- Try athletics sports ranging from Pole Vault, Throws, Jumps and running
- Take part in the new uka aviva athletics awards scheme
- Compete in a mini competition for your kids to have a chance to put all their new skills into practice
Athletics North East was set up by two enthusiastic athletes/ coaches based at Gateshead. Chris Kirk who is an international Great Britain Long Jumper and Chris Boundy who is a leading Pole Vault coach of the North. Chris and Chris started Athletics North East just over a year ago to inspire the younger generation of the North East and to give their own bit to the Olympic Legacy. They currently hold events around the North East promoting our greatest sport, working closely with schools, clubs and local events.

At Athletics North East we believe we need to encourage the next generation of sports stars. The best way to do this is to involve children from a young age. Our courses are designed to suit all children from beginner to the more advance athlete. We believe that every child who attends our camps should receive the best possible coaching to help them reach their potential. This is a real rare opportunity for children to get some World Class coaching during their School Holidays. We hold camps very school holiday so that there is always an opportunity for our kids to be involved in athletics. With our close links to local clubs and coaches we can provide the perfect link into your local club too.
