Join the celebrations on Sunday 9 February as Newcastle celebrate Chinese New Year and mark the arrival of the Year of the Horse with a day of Chinese-inspired events, performances and activities for all the family.
Enjoy traditional crafts, dance, martial arts, food and drink, games and much more with a vibrant and colourful party in and around Stowell Street and Chinatown, from 11am – 4pm. (Schedule)
Watch the spectacular dragon, lion and unicorn dances under the ceremonial arch as you hear firecrackers explode, taste delicious Oriental foods, witness amazing traditional performances and join in the excitement of this joyful event.
