Simon Singh MBE is an engaging author, journalist and tv producer, specialising in science and mathematics.
In this hugely entertaining talk on the history of cryptography, the author of the best-selling The Code Book brings code breaking to life. Focusing on the Enigma code, his talk will include a demonstration on a genuine Second World War German Enigma cipher machine.
The talk will be followed by a screening of the Oscar-winning film, The Imitation Game, about the mathematician and code breaker Alan Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch) and his part in cracking the Enigma code.
