Corbridge Festival is delighted to announce SIMON AND OSCAR FROM OCEAN COLOUR SCENE  (acoustic) headlining the main stage.

Simon and Oscar’s acoustic shows have received great reviews. Their smooth delivery of all the Ocean Colour Scene Favourites are both refreshingly new and reassuringly recognisable. Remember the Riverboat Song?

Ocean Colour Scene have had an amazing couple of years – enjoying an extended celebration of the band’s 21st anniversary. Selling out the Albert Hall was carried through into the Moseley Shoals tour of 2011, itself another sell out.

The Quireboys –  One of the UK’s finest Rock ‘n’ Roll Bands. When front man Spike comes onto set and declares ‘We are the Quireboys … and this is Rock ‘n’ Roll’ the audience knows exactly where this musical journey is about to lead. For fifteen years, the Quireboys have been synonymous with hand-made rock music, spiced with edgy riffs, driving rhythms and Spikes unique voice. Spike is returning to his roots at Corbridge for a one off gig. They could just be ‘a bit of what you fancy’.  Welcome home Spike!

Smoove and Turrell.  Since the launch of their debut album Antique Soul in 2009 things have started accelerating very fast indeed for the Geordie duo funksters Smoove & Turrell. From being a complete unknown to headlining stages to over 10000 people at Glastonbury, singer John Turrell and DJ Smoove have seen their lives change dramatically since their first single ‘I Can’t Give You Up’ became one of the most sought after 7’’ releases of 2011.

Rae Morris. Rae Morris is a singer-songwriter from Blackpool and currently supporting Bombay Bicycle Club on tour.  She was very popular at the BBC Introducing stage at Leeds Festival in 2011 and is definitely ‘a one to watch’.  If Rae’s voice doesn’t make you tingle all over then nothing will.

Dancing Lotus. Not your average band, a raging orchestra comprising singer, rapper, a violinist, bass, guitars, beats, piano and drummer, the Lotus gang have hit on a winning musical formula and are rapidly rising to great things.

Pikey Beatz –  A 7 piece Ska/Reggae band from Haltwhistle, Northumberland with their own individual take on the music. Going down a storm on the main stage at Solfest in 2011, they like to think of themselves as a fun and energetic band that’ll get a crowd moving and put a smile on their face at the same time.

There are loads more fantastic bands lined up this year, including:

The Lauren Housley Band, Livewire, Claypath, Jamie Squire, Paul Liddell, Unplugged and many more. Please see the music page for more details of bands and artists but once again the festival promises to deliver a great mix of quality music.

The full line up for all stages is being finalised, so check out the website, ‘’like’’ the facebook page and look out for press releases with details of this great little festival.

For those wanting to extend their festival experience, the very popular camping option has been extended to include Friday night (with a live band playing in the Clubhouse for campers) as well as Saturday night. Hot showers and toilets are available in the clubhouse.

The festival offers a great family day out, with street theatre, fairground attractions, stilt walkers, kids entertainers, festival stalls. The beer tent will once again offer a full range of beers, ale and wine and hosted by Hadrian and Border Brewery, food will come from Tynedale caterers and a mix of quality mobile units.  All set in the beautiful grounds of Tynedale Park in our very own charming Corbridge.

Tickets are strictly limited and are available now from the website.
