INTER-GENERATIONAL GAMES THURSDAY 30 AUGUST
ALL ages are welcome for a seafront Inter-generational Games Day on Thursday 30 August.
The event, part of the City Council’s Sunderland in 2012 programme, is being held at Cliffe Park, Seaburn, between 10am and 3pm.
Activities for all the family include: football and a fun run, short-tennis, swing-ball, hula-hoops, and Zumba for all ages.
Councillor John Kelly, Sunderland City Council’s Portfolio Holder for Public Health, Wellness and Culture, said: “We have seen a very strong programme of sporting and active events for all ages throughout 2012.
“Now, on Thursday, here’s another opportunity for everybody in the family to enjoy the post-Olympic and Paralympic Games mood.
“This a great opportunity to get out, get active and enjoy a host of free activities at the seaside in Seaburn.
“There’s something here for you and all your family and friends.”
