A TOP NORTH EAST cosmetic dentist has been nominated once again in the industry’s most prestigious awards.
Dr Ken Harris of Riveredge Cosmetic Dentistry – which has surgeries in both Sunderland and Newcastle – has made it to the finals of this year’s Aesthetic Dentistry Awards.
Dr Harris has been shortlisted in the Single Arch Restorative category for his work on replacing the upper missing teeth with a bridge of a patient who was attacked and had two front teeth knocked out.
Dr Harris has won multiple times every year since the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards – which are regarded as the most prestigious in the industry – were launched a decade ago.
They acknowledge practitioners who are at the top of their game, rewarding aesthetic, orthodontic and restorative excellence.
“This year we took the decision only to enter one category so I’m delighted that it has made it to the shortlist,” said Dr Harris.
“It was a particularly complex case so I’m very pleased not only to have this acknowledged by our nomination but because of what a difference we have made to the patient.”
Dr Harris is one of only two Fellows of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (BACD) which involves him teaching other dentists around the UK. He is a full member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (BAAD), and regularly teaches USA dentists at the world-renowned Kois Center programme across in Seattle.
Over the years Dr Harris has become recognised globally for his skills and now teaches dentists throughout Europe and worldwide.
He regularly travels across to North America and Canada, delivering lectures on aesthetic dentistry to practitioners in New York, Vancouver, San Francisco, Orange County, Fresno and San Diego in his role as the Clinical Director for California Center (sic) for Advanced Dental Studies.
