The Foundation of Light is calling schools and workplaces to enter this year’s Lambton 10k run and 3k fun run Team Challenge on Sunday June 29.
Teams consist of three to six members and more than one team can be entered per organisation.
A variety of prizes are on offer to the winners (fastest three team members) ranging from hospitality to a SAFC home league match and free entry to next year’s Lambton Run.
Jemma Garrett, Events Coordinator for the Foundation of Light commented: “Feedback from previous events showed that some runners wanted to get their friends and colleagues involved and compete as a team, so this year we’re holding a Team Challenge as part of the Lambton runs. There are some great prizes on offer for the winning teams and it’s a great way to have fun as a group and build team spirit within your organisation.”
The 10k run is designed for both competitive and non-competitive runners, while the 3k offers a fun run for families and young children.
Both courses run through the grounds of the Lambton Estate, County Durham and are a rare opportunity to visit as the estate is not normally open to the public.
All participants will receive a race pack and number in advance; an improved registration process will be in place and have the option to take part in a pre-race warm up.
Entries are now open for the Lambton 10k and 3k Run 2014, sponsored by Cestria Community Housing, and supported by Lambton Estate and Start Fitness.
Runners are charged from £12 per person for the 10k and from £6 per person for the 3K.
