Whether out with friends, busy with the children or just want to watch ‘that’ show one more time, Made in Tyne and Wear viewers will now be able to enjoy programmes at their leisure with the launch of the new OnView catch up player.
With over 100 hours of content available online at onview.madeintyneandwear.tv and compatible with both windows and ISO software, OnView will host all the shows from the channel, including the news Bulletin and magazine show ‘The Lowdown’. Plus a host of current affairs, sport, cookery and entertainment themed programmes and networked shows. Complete series of programmes such as Ex-Apprentice star, Katie Bulmer-Cooke’s ‘Total Tone Up’, will also be available to view.
Station Manager, Tony Hazell said: “We know viewers enjoy the flexibility of being able to watch shows on catch up and our OnView service will satisfy that demand. The response to Made in Tyne and Wear has been fantastic with over 236,000 tuning in each week and the OnView player is another step forward for the station.”
Made has partnered with Piksel, a global provider of video monetization software and solutions to build and roll out the catch up service.
Broadcasting on Freeview channel 8, Virgin 159 and Sky Guide 117, Made in Tyne and Wear transmits 24 hours a day with a schedule of locally-made shows alongside programmes shared across the Made Television network.
Made in Tyne and Wear is part of the Made Television network which holds the licences for five local areas/cities, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Teesside and Tyne and Wear.
