Local TV channel, Made in Tyne and Wear is now available to watch via live streaming onwww.madeintyneandwear.tv/live making the channel available to viewers across the UK.
Complementing the existing OnView catch up facility, the live streaming broadcast expands the reach of the Tyne and Wear based station to an even wider audience.
Station Manager, Tony Hazell said: “Watching TV on a device other than the traditional telly is very much part of everyday life. We’re very excited to offer our viewers the ability to watch whenever and wherever they choose via our live streaming option. We’ve had a very busy summer attending lots of local events, reporting on lots of local issues and with over 230,000 weekly viewers tuning in and getting ready to celebrate our first anniversary in November, it’s definitely exciting times.”
Made TV has partnered with Piksel, a global provider of video monetization software and solutions to build and roll out the Live streaming and catch up services.
Broadcasting on Freeview channel 8, Virgin 159 and Sky Guide 117, Made in Tyne and Wear transmits 24 hours a day with a schedule of locally-made shows alongside programmes shared across the Made Television network.

Made in Tyne and Wear is part of the Made Television Network, operator of local TV licenses in the UK including Made in Bristol, Made in Cardiff and Made in Leeds which are all now broadcasting and Made in Teesside set for launch next year.
