North East Business Funding to help with workforce skills

funding

A new fund is being planned to support locally based businesses (including Social Enterprises) in the North East Region with the costs involved in training their workforce.

The proposed new scheme would offer private businesses (including Social Enterprises) based in the North East with a contribution of up to 50% of costs per organisation.  The funding would be available to businesses from a wide range of sectors and with less than 250 employees.

A new consortium (comprising NBSL, NE-BIC and Sunderland College) will be applying for future funding, and expressions of interest from businesses will provide evidence that there’s a demand for the new fund.

If you think you will have a need for such services in the future, please register your interest in the Fund now by providing your details here:

The deadline to express interest is 5pm 31st October 2014.  Your response will be treated in confidence.  We look forward to hearing from you.  By expressing your interest in the Fund you will automatically be contacted when the new Funds goes ‘Live’.
