Whilst selling raffle tickets for Children NE in Kingston Park, Newcastle, [during Aug.; Sept.; Oct., I met two mothers whose little boys had Cerebal Palsy. One was named Kerry, don't know the other. On hearing their stories I decided I would arrange a concert for their charities. Despite a request to four prominent stores to advertise for these two ladies, nothing happened. I am arranging the concert for 30th March 2014, but I don't know the charity they supported. Kerry had three children, not sure of the other, perhaps two. If I cannot trace them I may well select a national charity. Can you help. Regards, Bruce Grant, MCMI. 17 Old Station Court, Darras Hall, Ponteland. NE20 9NT. Tel No 01661 823606
(Secretary of Pont Charity Group; but this is being done privately. PCG hold two concerts per year to
support selected charities)

I would like to introduce you all to our fantastic charity, Heel & Toe which offers FREE conductive education therapy to children across the North East with cerebral palsy, dyspraxia and other motor disorders.

We were set up in 2008 with just 4 children and now, such is the need for our free service, we have around 60 children who come to us once or twice a week. We receive no government funding and need to raise £300,000 a year to keep our Centre open, relying on support from local community, businesses, schools and groups.

Conductive education helps give our children a better quality of life by improving their mobility and movement, which in turn increases their independence and confidence. Why not come and see what we do? Our children love having visitors!

Get in touch: amanda@heelandtoe.org.uk, follow me on twitter @amandatweedy or check out our facebook page Heelandtoe, as well as our website: www.heelandtoe.org.uk

The Percy Hedley Foundation was set up by parents in 1953, with a small special school for children with cerebral palsy. Since then it has extended the work it does to its current size of over 550 staff.

Today the charity meets the needs of disabled people with cerebral palsy, communication impairments, sensory impairments and complex learning, social care and therapeutic needs.
