Absolute Wrestling are combining the best of the American style of “sports entertainment” with the purity and essence of old school British wrestling, to bring the people of the North East the wrestling that they deserve – high-octane, entertaining, energetic and unrelenting with the best of British Wrestling talent heading to your doorstep.
Any fan of American Wrestling will have noticed the Brit invasion of wrestlers, with an impressive number of home-grown talent appearing in the squared circle of WWE and TNA, a number of whom have cut their indie teeth on the British circuit and Absolute are bringing the next generation of uncompromising athletes to the northern audiences.
With high quality promotions, a solid foothold in social media and wrestlers seeking to be on the Absolute Wrestling roster, this new promotion is a breath of fresh air for domestic wrestling. They are ambitious, well-connected within the industry and although the name is new on the lips of the audience, the team behind this professional promotion have years of experience behind the scenes and bring a wealth of experience to legitimize their dream big attitude.
In February 1993, Whitley Bay Ice Rink saw the Nasty Boys defeat then reigning WWF Tag Team Champions “The Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase and IRS via Disqualification; fast forward 22 years and Marden Bridge Sports Centre will witness the return of local Tag Team “Full Pack” to Whitley Bay to wrestle 6ft 2″, 245lbs Valkabious and his mystery partner to establish the most exciting tag team division seen for a long time on Tyne soils.
Combining high-flying aerobatics, a lethal heavyweight division, incredible tag teams, competitive cruiserweights and the raw, unbridled primal energy of legendary talent, Absolute Wrestling are making exciting changes to the wrestling scene to give the loyal fans of British Sports Entertainment the show they deserve.
Coming to Marden, the richest man in wrestling Prince Ameen will face local legend Assassin, and Absolute Poster boys, Liam Lazarus will bring the party to Marden, where as HT Drake will be there to kill all gimmicks with his all out straight wrestling style and Jason Prime has advised that he will “fight – not wrestle” for the accolade of becoming King of the North on December 12th at Marden Bridge Sports Centre, but up and comer Joe Rage has promised that the cage door is about the be opened – who will take the throne?
So on December 12th, a new King will be crowned and on this Winters Eve, history will be made. will you be part of it?
