The sketch comedy extravaganza, which attracted 400 people in December for the Christmas Laffalang with comedian Mike Milligan, will feature 13 new, specially written sketches by Ed Waugh, who has written the three previous Laffalangs and is co-writer of the national and international hit comedy Dirty Dusting.
The show will performed at the Westovian Theatre in Ocean Road on Thursday and Friday, February 12 and 13.
Laffalang producer and director Gareth Hunter said: “The Laffalang started in December 2013 and three shows later it has rapidly gained a fantastic reputation. The word of mouth has been brilliant. People are now coming from all over the region to see the show.
“The Laffalang is the ideal place to have a great laugh in the run-up to St Valentine’s Day.”
The Valentine special features Widow Twanky singing Lili Marlene to the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Geordie: The Musical and Cupid Gets it Wrong while the Alnwick Stage Radio Ensemble (ARSE) tackle a Wuthering Heights mash-up.
Gareth, who also directs the show, added: “As it’s also near Pancake Day, we’ll be Talking Crepe. Plus, we’ll show you why John Noakes never made his own girlfriend out of sticky-back plastic.”
A collection will be held at the end of both shows for Breast Cancer Campaign.
