Upcoming musical ‘KING PIT’, a tribute to the strength and passion of a North East coal mining community is giving North East Photographers an amazing opportunity to gain exposure for their local snaps!
The King Pit musical written by Gateshead born Stuart Brayson, will be showcasing several of the shows songs before it official launches in 2016 with a World Premiere event on the 3rd February 2015 at the Sage in Gateshead, ‘An Evening with Stuart Brayson and Friends’. (tickets now on sale from £25).

Stuart’s friends who will be performing on the night include local X Factor winner, Joe McElderry, Siobhan Dillon (Ghost, Cabaret), Julie Armstrong (From Here to Eternity), Donna Hazelton (Chicago, Musicality), Simon Gordon (ITV Superstar), Graeme Duffin (Wet Wet Wet) and many more West End stars, backed by a live rock group, The Felling Band and In The Groove community choir.
North East Photographers we need your snaps!
Having recently ran a VIP competition, the shows organizers have teamed up again with The North East HUB to make a short promotional video to help promote the King Pit’s upcoming show and fantastic songs (now available to listen to on Soundcloud and soon on itunes).
The short 2 minute promotional video will contain clips from four of the shows songs along with a slideshow of north east images sent in by YOU!
The type of photos we would like you to send us are:
- Scenic photos from around the north east region (famous landmarks etc)
- Old photos of the coal mines and mining industry in the north east region (before and after)
- Colour, and black and white photos are accepted
If you would like to submit a photo to appear in the Video please:
- Send only one or two photos
- The photo/s must be a reasonable good resolution
- Professional photographers please leave your logo on the image to get credit
*Note: Not all photos sent in will feature in the video. Contributors photos which are chosen will receive a credit in the videos description.
