A new music and creative arts festival is to take place in Northumberland this September. The Lindisfarne Festival will be a truly niche 2 day camping festival set on Beal Farm, Northumberland from the 4th to the 6th September.

The festival which is for over 18’s will showcase an eclectic mix of DJs and bands from funk, indie rock to folk, as well as promoting a range of alternative therapies and creative arts.  The full line up which includes a number of world-renowned, international DJs and acts are expected to be announced on Monday 23rdMarch and tickets will go on sale from 24th March.

The festival which has a capacity for 2000 is enveloped in a unique setting on the breath-taking Northumberland coastline with a spectacular backdrop of the mythical and historical Holy Island. If great music and camping under the stars with a stunning view isn’t enough, the festival will also showcase a wonderful range of alternative therapies including yoga, meditation, poetry, 5 rhythm dance, cranial sacral therapy and much more.

Local stalls will also be on display selling wares and refreshments. Food will demonstrate the very best of local gastronomy with locally sourced and high quality produce being the order of the day.

Conleth Maenpaa, Owner of Nokomis and Bor Events and Founder of Lindisfarne Festival commented:

“We are delighted to be able to bring Lindisfarne Festival to the region. Seven months ago we had a dream to bring something truly special to the North East. We wanted to create a unique and niche music festival that hadn’t been done before combining the stunning location of Northumberland with an eclectic mix of quality entertainment. We are thrilled that after months of careful planning and working with local authorities, bodies, suppliers and acts that Lindisfarne Festival is born.

Making the festival sustainable has also been a key consideration for us and we have been working with ecologists and local bodies to ensure we stage the festival without compromising the landscape and its range of inhabitants; both human and wild. We very much hope we can create a legacy with Lindisfarne Festival making it a key part of the fabric of the North East.”

Conleth Maenpaa added:

Our line up and information about ticket sales will be announced at the end of March, details of which can be found on our facebook, twitter page and website.
