Stephenson Railway Museum in North Shields has just released 448 extra tickets for their popular Santa Specials heritage train experience in December.
A sell out every year, this year due to popular demand they are also including dusk train rides at 3.45pm on Saturday 12, Sunday 13, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 of December.
Geoff Woodward, Manager of North Tyneside Museums said: “We sell out of our Santa Specials tickets every year and this year tickets are selling so fast that we have added an extra time slot to four of the dates, which amounts to just under 450 extra seats.
“We’re very excited that we are able to extend our Christmas offer and welcome more people to our festive experience on board the heritage trains.”
A magical experience for families, the four mile heritage train journey in 1950’s carriages has Victorian themed musicians on board leading Christmas sing-alongs on the journey to Percy Main and back to the museum. Passengers receive a visit and gift from Santa himself when the train arrives at Percy Main.
Booking is essential, and upon booking you choose the seats you’d like to sit in on the train. Tickets cost £13 per person (not including booking fee).
