Auditions are being held at Chase Bar on the Newcastle Quayside, Thursday 13th June, for a new girl band, and local Reality TV guru and talent agent Dean Midas Maynard, has called in legendary songwriting producer John McLaughlin to help with the project.
John and Dean are looking for anyone based in the north east or surrounding area, who are 16 and over and can play, any or all of:
- Electric Guitar
- Acoustic Guitar
- Bass
- Drums
- They are also looking for a strong Lead Vocalist.

Songwriting producer John McLaughlin is based in Glasgow and had 17 top 10’s, including three Number ones. His impressive CV includes Busted, Five, 911, Liberty X, Sandi Thom, Westlife and Blue. He is also about to launch a new boy band called Supanova and is currently working on 911’s new album.
Dean Midas Maynard from Newcastle, is becoming well known for his reviews and features, on shows like Britain’s Got Talent and the X Factor and he currently blogs for Simon Cowell’s best friend, Sinitta. His agency, Midas Talentpr is also attracting a lot of interest.
