The Co-Operative’s Northmoor store has offered support to Sunderland based charity Sunderland Pride giving them the chance to receive the perfect Christmas present.
Shoppers at the store on Northmoor Road will have the chance to vote for Sunderland Pride to receive a share of up to £1000, the more votes which the charity receive through the voting process, the higher the share of the fund they will receive.
Sunderland Pride is the charity behind Sunderland’s annual celebration event for diversity in the City Centre. The charity raises funds every year to cover the cost of the event, and a share of this grant could once again grow the event in 2014.
Lynne Roxburgh, Event Director from Sunderland Pride, said “This is a wonderful opportunity for the charity. This is a community scheme and in order to receive a share, we need the community to get behind us and vote.”
Voting commences on Tuesday 26th November and ends on Friday 20th December.
