They’ll be joined by South Tyneside’s own rising star, soul singer Lulu James.

Before this special, ticketed, event music lovers will have the chance to see a whole host of live performances for free, as part of the South Tyneside Summer Festival 2014.

These concerts, which are open to all ages, will be headlined by pop stars Shayne Ward and B*witched (July 13), 70s hit makers 10cc (July 20) and M People singer Heather Small (July 27).

They will be supported by a host of North East and UK acts, including South Tyneside group The Waiters (July 13) and leading rock covers band UK Rock Legends (July 20).

The festival’s renowned carnival-style parade through South Shields will also return on July 5, this time with a Get Active theme, followed by a family fun day with more live music and entertainment on July 6 and the new Kids Fun-Fest programme running throughout August.
