The Stadium of light will host a Ladies Day Charity Lunch with local stars Denise Robertson and Philippa Tomson.
Denise Robertson, Sunderland-born This Morning star will share stories from her life and 26-year TV career at The Foundation of Light’s Mum’s the Word ladies’ lunch on Friday March 28.
The event will also be hosted by former Tyne Tees weather girl turned Sky News reporter, Philippa Tomson.
All proceeds from the event will be used to fund the Foundation of Light’s range of sport and education-based programmes aimed at helping young people and families across the North East.
Jemma Garrett, Events Coordinator at the Foundation of Light, said: “This is the first Ladies Lunch organised by the Foundation of Light and we’re delighted that Denise and Philippa have agreed to take part.
“With Mother’s Day just around the corner we hope that this will offer a chance for women from across the North East to come together for an afternoon of glamour in aid of a good cause.”
The event will run between noon and 4pm.
