boulevard newcastle 300x300 - Live Review: The Summer Show, Boulevard Newcastle

We all love a fun night out and I especially like to see a good cabaret show. I’d heard of Boulevard through friends so thought I’d look it up and go see a show there, and wow I’m glad I did!

Just warming up

On entering the venue the staff were very friendly and professional. There are also 3 bars for each section of the venue so getting a drink wasn’t a problem. I was very impressed that they have a bar directly underneath the stage too, looks great!

The night started off with the entertaining Miss Rory providing us with a short introduction to the show and a warm hello to everyone. Picking out members of the audience for a chat and a giggle, all in good humour. That night we had a few birthday groups, hen party’s (one which were in amazing fancy dress, shrek, princess fiona, clowns, crayolas…you name it!) and a retirement. Then we were treated to a bit of dance music before the show started.

They also have a great menu to pick from during the show including sharing platters, yum!

Lets get the party started!

The show was made up of several sections each followed by a short interval of music to dance to before the next part started. Every part of the show was amazing. Miss Rory also takes part in both the opening and finale.

Each musical number was led by the legendary Betty Legs Diamond and her fabulous broadway dancers, with amazing costumes and dance routines.

I wont give away all the musical numbers and themes but you can expect, copacabana, 60’s medley, anna and the king, and a grand finale featuring a lot of girl power!

It’s not surprising that Boulevard is rated number 1 on TripAdvisor for nightlife in Newcastle!

I will most definitely be back again!!!

Don’t miss out! Last summer show 29th September

If you like cabaret at its best and a great atmosphere, don’t miss this show!
