Maker Faire UK is a two day festival dedicated to invention and creativity, bringing together over 300 hackers, crafters, coders, DIYers and garden shed inventors from across the globe.

With displays from makers from a huge variety of industries, Maker Faire UK is the perfect place to mingle with like-minded creators and to pick up new tips and tricks – from soldering, to coding, crafting, and 3D printing.

Visitors to Maker Faire UK can also enjoy talks from fascinating speakers, including Phoenix Perry, Vinay Gupta and the Rowland Emett Society, celebrating the weird and wonderful world of makers.

As always the festival will feature spectacular headliners, including Lords of Lightning, who will be dazzling crowds with 5 metre lightning bolts and showing the amazing powers of the Tesla Coil. Dominic Wilcox’s stunning Stained Glass Car will be on hand to demonstrate the transport of the future, and attendees may recognise Jason Lane’s Mechanical Sound Sculpture from the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympics!

So whether you want to unleash your inner inventor, find out how science, technology, engineering and maths shape the world around you – or if you just fancy a great, hands-on day out, don’t miss Maker Faire UK.
