The Marketplace Newcastle helps young entrepreneurs

marketplace-newcastle

The Marketplace Newcastle launched in September 2013 as an opportunity for young budding entrepreneurs and new start- up businesses to have the opportunity to test-trade their product.

Organised and funded by Newcastle Enterprise Club in partnership with Business Sparks and Solar Learning, The Marketplace Newcastle has been running every second Saturday of each month at Space 2 Youth Centre in Newgate Shopping Centre, Clayton Street, Newcastle.

Newcastle Enterprise Club is aimed at all ages and we run a drop in session every Thursday morning 9-1pm for anybody who has a business idea, but do not know where to look for help. We have mentors on hand that we can link up with our entrepreneurs if they need advice on things like Marketing, Trading Standards, Start-up Loans etc.

Business Sparks is a programme designed for young people to develop their business skills through workshops and activities, and by the end, having an idea of what kind of business they would like to set up.

Solar Learning is an organization that focus solely on youth led learning and inspires young people to use their passions and turn them into profitable businesses.

Together, these three organizations help young people all over the North East develop their potential in business and to inspire them to be the new generation in successful entrepreneurs.

From Saturday 30th November, The Marketplace Newcastle will be taking place every Saturday up until Christmas, and we are currently looking for anyone who would like a stall to do a bit of test trading, or even if you have a hobby of making things and would just like to make a bit of extra cash for Christmas, then feel free to get in touch to request a booking form.

Contact [email protected] for more details on how you can secure a stall or phone on 0191 226 7300.

So come along to enjoy our stalls and support our young entrepreneurs, and even grab yourself a cup of Mulled Punch for free for the first 100 visitors.
