102 Battalion REME, located on Aycliffe Business Park are running a week-long residential programme in Catterick Garrison to help NEETs across Tees Valley and Durham.

The programme will involve an introduction into engineering and has a range of activities in a packed week consisting of Vehicle Mechanic Stand, Recovery Equipment Stand, Build a Buggy Stand, Weapons and Metalsmith Stand and a few fun military things thrown in for good measure.

This is the seventh event we have hosted since 2012 and previous programmes have proven successful in helping NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) from across Tees Valley and Durham to move on to training, education or apprenticeships. A handful have been enthused enough to join the British Army as a mechanical and electrical engineer with REME.

Applications can be made via email to WO2 Dave Tomlinson at [email protected] or by calling 01325 307220. Closing date for applications is Fri 27th February.

Transport, accommodation and feeding is provided, a full kit list and instruction will be sent out to all applicants.
