Cocktail shakers at the ready- the art of cocktail mixology will enter a new level when the city raises its glass to toast the first ever, NE1’s Cocktail Week from 15 to 21 July.

Summer in the city just got more interesting with a whole host of city centre bars and venues on board to celebrate NE1 Cocktail Week. Cocktail Lovers will be able to enjoy a mouth-watering array of cocktails at 3 different price points – £3, £5 and £7 at a number of different venues across the city.

Like NE1’s highly successful Restaurant Week which encourages diners to try out new restaurants with fixed price menus, NE1’s Cocktail Week will provide cocktail lovers with the opportunity to sample cocktails at a fraction of their usual price and maybe try out new bars in the search for the perfect libation.

Among the many venues where the cocktail waiters will be in overdrive are Fat Buddha, Living Room, Revolution and Livello, to name but a few.

There has been a city-wide resurgence in cocktail mixology with it reaching art form proportions in many venues. Mixologists take great pride in their work and enjoy the performance of producing lovingly created cocktails for their guests. During Cocktail Week, NE1 has lined up a series of cocktail masterclasses to allow enthusiasts to learn the art of creating the perfect cocktail.

After Cocktail Week, there won’t be too long to wait for the next city centre gastronomic celebrations when the 6th NE1’s Restaurant Week kicks off from 5-11 August.
