Prospective visitors are being offered unprecedented incentives to attend as stands fill up for what looks like the biggest and best Durham Oktoberfest engineering and manufacturing exhibition.
As well as access to a unique gathering of some of the region’s best known engineering and manufacturing companies and support organisations, they will be in at the launch of one of the North East’s most innovative business competitions.
Everyone visiting the sixth annual Oktoberfest on October 17th at the Xcel Centre at Newton Aycliffe will learn about the ‘Achieve Your Dream in 2014’ competition, organised by The HUB Partnership at The HUB Workspace at Aycliffe Business Park.
One County Durham business stands to win more than £100,000 of services, including strategic input, marketing and social media strategies, training, support and PR in a Dragons’ Den style contest being run over the subsequent few months.
Spokesman Oliver Vogt said: ‘Although we’re ahead of target on last year and bookings and registrations are moving fast, there are a few stands left and we still have capacity for visitors to register.
‘‘Oktoberfest has grown in stature and significance and those in the industries now tell us it is the most worthwhile of this type of event in the region. And some come to Oktoberfest in preference to national events.’
Sponsors of Oktoberfest this year are Business Durham, Derwentside Homes, EEF and South West Durham Training, Teesside University, Husqvarna, Scott-Grant, Cleansing Service Group, FEG, Deritend and media partners The Manufacturer.
