David Warner (Star Trek, The Omen) and Norman Lovett (Holly from ‘Red Dwarf’) are just a couple of the big names attending the SCREEN-CON event in North Shields on Saturday 3rd May.
The family event, based at The Park Sports Centre, will feature:
- Live entertainment,
- Huge sci-fi market,
- Autographs,
- Movie props exhibition including Doctor Who’s TARDIS and the dreaded Daleks,
- Costume competition and a short story competition, judged by ‘Lord of the rings’ actor Royd Tolkien. Royd, who is the grandson of ‘Lord of the Rings’ creator JRR Tolkien, will be presenting the winner with a prize onstage at the event.
“I’m super thrilled to be coming to Screen-Con and excited to be presenting the award for best short story,” says Royd.
Stories must be 1000 words or less and be totally original sci-fi or fantasy stories. Entries should be submitted via email to screencon@btinternet.com
