On Saturday 28th May 2016 (Spring Bank Holiday weekend), at The Parks Sports Centre in North Shields, ‘Screen-Con’ is a warm and welcoming locally-run movie & comic-con with a great atmosphere, which caters for families, pop-culture fans and movie fanatics alike.
Screen-Con 2016 will be the 6th convention in North Tyneside!
Their ethos is to provide a brilliant day out for all the family, with all-day entertainment on the stage area (loads of fun, games and live music from the movies), Costume Competitions, a huge and varied sci-fi & collectables market, interactive displays for kids of all ages, loads of photo-ops with your favourite costumed characters (from Darth Vader to Elsa from ‘Frozen’ to Iron Man), a display of replica movie props and costumes, movie & TV sculpting demonstrations from talented artists, guest celebrities from the world of film & TV and an enthusiastic dedicated staff team who really do care about giving YOU and your family a great day out!
