Fright nights at a historic coastal attraction are returning to chill visitors after two sell-out years.
Tickets are now on sale for Scary Tales at Tynemouth Priory – a series of hour-long theatrical tours where guides lead people in the darkness to the farthest reaches of the site, stopping at various points for spooky storytelling.
The event, staged by North Tyneside Council and Little Cat Theatre Company, takes place between 25th and 31st October with tours at 5.30pm, 7.30pm and 9pm. There are no tours on Monday 28th October.
Anyone wanting to secure a place is advised to do so quickly as most tours sold out in 2011 and 2012.
Tickets cost £10 per person and are available by calling 0191 643 7409 between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Tours are limited to 25 people and are not suitable for children under the age of 8 years old.
