Sunderland Live, in partnership with Opus Dining, have announced great news for local foodies. Sunderland’s first ever Festival of Food is set to tantalize the city’s taste buds on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May.
The Festival, which will be held in Mowbray Park and Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, will be aiming to raise awareness of sustainable food culture, food poverty and the use of food as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Not only will residents and visitors be able to purchase food from a range of local vendors and producers but the festival offers an interactive element also. Cooking demonstrations will be led by catering students and tutors from Sunderland College and will aim to cater for both children and adults.
