United Carlton was pleased to extend its hand to sponsor the 2015 TeenTech Humber event which took place on 9th July at the KC Stadium, Hull.
TeenTech is an organisation which works in collaboration with 30 different schools and leading local businesses, universities and organisations to provide unique learning experiences for over 300 students aged 12 to 13. The goal of these events is to improve young peoples’ understanding and curiosity in science, technology, engineering and maths in order to show them how their interest and skills with everyday items such as smartphones, tablets, PCs and gaming systems can translate to rewarding careers working in technical disciplines.
As a technologically-focused company, United Carlton, based is Gateshead, was keen to help out in educating the next generation of engineers in the importance of these skills and the enjoyment that can be found in working with them. As a supplier of choice for educational technology in the Humber region we felt compelled to assist our clients in the region in their efforts to show young people a valuable and viable career path that could lead them to a rewarding future.
A large part of our company ethos is the importance of our community-focused work and assisting young people in their professional development, therefore we were glad to support the TeenTech initiative, which is very much aligned with our own efforts such as our apprenticeship and work experience programs to aid self-improvement in young people.
