What’s on at PLAYHOUSE this Easter!
This Easter at the PLAYHOUSE we have a great selection of stellar productions for all ages, old and new audiences, alike. Choose from shows including The Wizard of Oz, starring ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ stars Ashleigh and Pudsey, a community performance of The Show Must Go on, and Europe’s champion Elvis tribute in ‘A Vision of Elvis’.

This Easter, audiences at PLAYHOUSE Whitley Bay, will set off on a magical adventure, over the rainbow. The wonderful Wizard of Oz, starring Britain’s Got Talent winners, Ashleigh & Pudsey is brought to the stage by Shone Productions, this Thursday 9th & Friday 10th April.
Recently seen on CBBC with their hit series ‘Who let the dogs out?’ Ashleigh & Pudsey are starring as Dorothy & Toto. Joining them is the hilarious Lloyd Hollett as the Scarecrow and Hollyoaks’ Laura Handley as the Wicked Witch of the West, who is determined to foil their quest by any means necessary!

The Show Must Go On!

On Saturday 11th April for one night only, 30Second Productions brings The Show Must Go On! to PLAYHOUSE. The Show Must Go On is a showcase of entertainments, bringing together local community groups, featuring home grown talents that have previously appeared on the PLAYHOUSE stage.
With a glimpse of future productions, and an orchestra that has been arranged especially for the occasion the show is bound to delight. The staging will also feature guest band, Watson & the Elements, meaning this is a show not to be missed.

The Counterfeit Sixties

The PLAYHOUSE welcomes back The Counterfeit Sixties for another chance to relive the era that changed music forever! With their tribute to over twenty five bands from the era, encompassing everything from the clothes that were worn to flashbacks from television history, including; TV programmes, adverts and clips of the original bands.
The Counterfeit Sixties present a showcase of all the great bands of this unforgettable time. From the fantastic music of The Beatles to The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Dave Clark Five, The Kinks and The Monkees – to name but a few – all recreated in this stunning show.
