At 23.59 on 4th August the north east made it over the finishing line to beat the North West, the Midlands and Northern Ireland in a race to WIN £1 Million pound advertising at Heathrow Airport!
Two hours before the deadline Northern Ireland were leading by 700 votes. Then with only 5 minutes to go Northern Ireland were leading by 50 votes, but a MASSIVE collaborative effort across twitter, facebook and other social media helped the north east go into the lead with just 2 minutes to go! With us safely in the lead by over 100 votes when the 23.59 deadline hit!
