Middlesbrough’s Cleveland Centre has been selected as the X Factor venue where mobile auditions are scheduled to take place in the shopping centre on Good Friday. The Mobile Auditions allow budding artists to try out in towns and cities where the arena auditions tour doesn’t reach.
The X Factor show has had strong entries from the region including Journey South, Amelia Lilly and James Arthur who have gone on to be some of the show’s outstanding stars so far, with Amelia Lilly supporting Girls Aloud on tour and James Arthur’s number one smash hit single Impossible and eagerly awaited album.
The 2013 audition event will seek to uncover ‘the next big thing’ and the show comes to town on Friday 29th March and auditions run from 10am-3pm in The Cleveland Centre.
Cleveland Centre Manager Debbie Anderson said: “We are very excited to host the X Factor auditions. Cleveland Centre has had a strong association with music and we have had a number of pop up gigs over the years and of course we supported James Arthur last year. I think we must have the most talented people in the UK living in the area.”
“We’ll be posting updates on our Facebook and website and would like to wish everyone going for an audition the best of luck and looking forward to seeing everyone on the 29th.”
People interested in auditioning should look at the X Factor website for information.
The Judges audition tour will start later in spring and The X Factor returns to ITV, ITV2 and itv.com later in the year.
