NEAS need your help!

This April to mark World Autism Awareness Month companies throughout the region are being invited to help raise both awareness and funds for people and families affected by autism in the North East.

Autism affects 1.1% of the population, there are over 26,000 people in the North East living with Autism, an invisible, lonely and often misunderstood condition.

More children will be diagnosed with Autism this year than with Diabetes, Cancer and Aids combined.

Our challenge to you, and the whole of the North East business community, is to become a member of the NEAS100CLUB by raising £100…or more throughout April for the North East Autism Society (NEAS).

This will enable the NEAS to continue the provision of services for children, young people and adults on the autism spectrum and add new services which will directly impact the lives of families affected by autism throughout the North East.

The NEAS would be delighted if you can take up this challenge, to help you we have prepared a fundraising pack they will happily send you and everyday throughout April they will be “tweeting” tips on FUN ways to FUNraise!

Everyone who takes up this challenge will be highlighted via their various social media platforms and on our website.

Places taking part so far:

  • Newcastle – Millennium Bridge and Civic Centre
  • Darlington – Market Place Clock
  • Sunderland – Winter Gardens
