A full filled, action packed weekend!
On Friday 26 July – 7pm until 10 pm at Cliffe Park
A spectacular flying display will include The RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, The Red Arrows, Typhoon and the SWIP Twister Display Team complete with airborne pyrotechnics closing with a spectacular firework display at 10pm. Music for the evening will come from Re-Take That and include a performance from Royal Marines Band Scotland.
Note: Park and ride will be available on Friday evening from the Stadium of Light to Bungalow Café for a charge of £2.00 per person. The buses will run from 4.00p.m. and the last bus will depart from the Bungalow Café at 11.00 p.m.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July – 10am until 6pm
Will see the coastline at Seaburn and Roker in Sunderland filled with the sights and sounds of the spectacular Sunderland International Airshow. There’s a packed programme of entertainment in the skies and on the ground, including RAF Falcons, The Red Arrows and lots more.
The displays start around 1.00pm (subject to change)

Organised by Sunderland City Council, the airshow is now in its 25th year and widely recognised as one of the largest free events of its kind.
Visitors to the event can expect an exciting programme of activities on the ground, as well as breathtaking precision flying and action in the sky. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or just looking for a memorable day out, there promises to be something for everyone to enjoy.

ON THE GROUND

There’s an exciting programme of entertainment and activities across the vast Airshow site including:
- Inflatables and simulators in Recreation Park
- Exhibitions from the Royal Navy and Army on Bede’s Cross
- Exhibitions from the Royal Air Force on Cliffe Park
- Royal Marines Commando Display Team
- Royal Marines Band (Scotland)
- Fun fairs in Ocean Park and near Jet Amusements
There will of course be plenty of food and drink available all along the seafront and toilet provision throughout the site.

Roker Park
The picturesque surroundings of Roker Park will host fun activities for younger children including:

Important information: The beach between outlet pipe and Parsons Rock will be closed from 8am and 6pm on both Saturday 27 July and Sunday 28 July 2013.

Souvenirs
- Pick up a copy top quality souvenir programme on site for £5. Inside you will find a full programme of the action in the air and on the ground, as well as lots of great facts about all of your favourite display teams. Copies are now on sale in The Bridges and the Tourist Information Centre in the City Library.
- You can also purchase souvenir wristbands at The Bridges for £2.
- Visit the ‘Official merchandise and Meet the Teams marquee’ next to the Arena on Cliffe Park where there will also be a selection of souvenirs on sale during the Airshow weekend.
Parking
The roads will be closed from Marriott Roundabout to Bungalow Café starting from 3pm on Friday 26 July.
Roads will be closed from Morrison’s Roundabout to Bungalow Café on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 7pm.
Park and ride
- Friday
Park and ride will be available on Friday evening from the Stadium of Light to Bungalow Café for a charge of £2.00 per person.
The buses will run from 4pm and the last bus will depart from the Bungalow Café at 11pm.
- Saturday and Sunday
Park and Ride sites are located at Fulwell Quarry and Downhill Community North Outdoor Sports Complex at a fee of £5.00 per car which will be collected at the entry point.
An additional park and ride site is available from Stadium of Light at a charge of £2.00 per person return. The fee will be collected at the bus queue.
These services will travel to and from the rear of Recreation Park.
On-site parking
Saturday and Sunday
On-site parking is available in Seaburn Showfield for a fee of £10.00 per car. Please follow the signs from all the main routes.
Disabled parking is available on site at the rear of Morrison’s. Please follow the signs from all the main routes.
Coach parking is available at Harbour View, SR7 7EU. Please follow the signs from all the main routes.
Resident parking
Additional permits can be collected from the Administration Cabin located on Cliffe Park from Tuesday 23 July. Proof of address must be shown to collect additional permits.
Disabled provision
Disabled parking is available on site at the rear of Morrisons supermarket, Whitburn Road, Sunderland. SR6 8AA
Toilets
Toilet provisions are available across the site
Public Transport

Stagecoach will be operating service 510 – a direct bus service to link Fawcett Street in the City Centre to the Seaburn Recreational Ground at the Airshow event site.
