With three diverse arenas showcasing everything from Car Drifting monster trucks, Extreme FMX to urban sports BMX and Parkour, the Nissan Extreme Torque Show will have it all.
For one day only, Nissan’s Sunderland plant will host the extreme extravaganza, welcoming the latest talents and global acts to show the North East what they’re made of.
Hartlepool-born Anthony Anderson, Owner of Extreme Events Europe is delighted the Extreme spectacular is returning to the North East.
He said: “As a show we have travelled worldwide, touring the Middle East, New Zealand and Europe, but there’s always such a buzz when you return to your own region.
“On top of everything we’re also constantly adding to the show and making it bigger and better. This year we have a brand new attraction called the Free Drop.
“This allows visitors the opportunity to jump from a suspended platform onto an air-filled bag, becoming part of the show themselves. That will definitely be one to get pulses racing!”
The Nissan Extreme Torque Show takes place between 10am and 5pm on Sunday July 5, with an area of the Nissan site converted into a huge outdoor arena and track for the world’s finest bikers, BMXers, truckers and performance car specialists.
Monster trucks and crowd-favourites Lil’Devil and Extreme will be causing mountains of mayhem in the Torque Arena, while headlining the Extreme Arena is street bike team Two Brothers Racing.
A head for heights is a pre-requisite for the Extreme Freestyle team as they fly through the air displaying cliffhangers, nac nacs ,supermans and backflips to name a few of their exciting tricks.
The Urban arena will showcase the best of BMX riding taking pedal power to the max, while also treating visitors to the sport of parkour, watching jumpers expertly propel and somersault onto platforms and over obstacles.
For the hard-core petrol heads, the drift Championship will be taking place all day courtesy of The Drift Outlaws Judge basing the winner on-line, angle, speed and show factor. Visitors can also view the pit area, getting close and personal with machines and drivers.
Anthony continued: “There really is something for everyone, whether you’re a petrol head or just want a fun day out with the family.
“On top of everything going on we also have a selection of funfair rides to keep the kids and big kids happy and a large variety of food stalls.
