THE popular Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Show will take place at Preston Park Museum and Grounds on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June from 11am to 5pm.
The Show includes an exciting range of activities and fun for all the family, including one of the North’s major rallies of classic and restored cars.
Visitors can step back in time and enjoy fire-fighting vehicles from the earliest times to the most modern of appliances and motoring from the 30’s to the present day. The exhibits also include commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, agricultural and military exhibits, pedal and motorcycles.
For families, there is a jammed-packed programme of displays and activities in the main arena including, for the first time in Stockton , the spectacular ‘Swamp Thing’ – a monster car crushing truck who will be causing mayhem in the arena. ‘Backdraft’ the wheelying Fire Truck will also be providing a fun display and there will be a range of exciting rescue and pumping displays from our local fire fighters.
Additional attractions include craft and food stalls, side shows, a fun fair, trade stands, auto-jumble stalls and helicopter rides.
Councillor Ken Dixon, Stockton Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts Leisure and Culture, said: “The Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Show is always a lively and exciting event and we invite young and old to come along and enjoy the exhibits and events taking place.”
Entry to the Show is £4 (adults) & £2 (children and concessions) at the gate.
